Sadly the pictures used for this blog are no longer working.
I've tried everything I can think of to get them back, with no luck.
Having a major part of my online journal ruined makes me very sad.
I've decided instead of trying to track down the photo's I will start a new blog shortly.

I will post the link once it's created.

Hello all, here is a little life update.

My life in a nut shell is comprised lately of the following things.. wedding planning, baby planning, and house hunting. If we didn't already have enough on our plate a decision was made that Dan (my future hubby) and I would buy a house instead of renting for another year. Such super exciting news, now we just need to find our home. We are hoping to move back to the niagara region since Dan and I both grew up there. (but in different towns)

 Our fingers are crossed we can find an older house with character and enough room for when my sister, her hubby & my nephew come to visit.  

Everything baby is going great I'm now 23 weeks pregnant a growing quite the bump.
I'm feeling really good for the most part the only changes being I could eat for six & I'm in bed by 11 every night.  All I want to do is start nesting but it will have to a wait until the big move.  For now I'm going to enjoying eating & sleeping as much as I want!

Hello Summer!

It's my favorite time of the year again! Summer is here & thanks to wedding venue hunting so are the summer road trips. I'm sure soon I will be cursing this hot weather due to my every growing tummy but for now I love it! To be honest I personally think it's a lot easier to wear sun dresses while preggers than the many layers Canadian winters require.

In baby news, we still don't know if we are having a she or a he... but the girl vibes have been flying! On many occasions I've caught myself calling the baby a she so has my fiancée, poor baby if it turns out to be a boy. I go for another ultra-sound, hopefully, in a month.. fingers crosses he or she will be less bashful next time!

Le weekend..

Saturday with no plans always gives me the urge to go vintage / thrift shopping, currently I'm in the market to find a vintage sofa or "adult couch" since I desperately want to set our ugly futon on fire.  So today I will be hunting to map out local sales.. maybe we will find some kiddie stuff too.

Sunday we will be headed to our engagement party hosted by Dan's parents.. it will be the first time both of our families are all together, wish us luck & have an amazing weekend!

Oh long weekends I adore you,

We spent part of our weekend in a little town near my sister's home, full of antiques & little shops. Boy was it hot out, a reminder of the humidity that's headed our way.. I love the heat, although my pale complexion isn't always as thrilled.

My guy and I toured around checking out homes to rent as in a few more months we will be moving out of Toronto. It will be a bitter sweet time, I absolutely love this city where I've spent the majority of my 20's.. but we both agreed a fresh start somewhere a little more laid back and closer to family is a necessity.  The thought of smaller town life makes me a little nervous, but hey who knows maybe in 5 years we can buy our loft in the city & cottage in the country.. I'll start counting my pennies.

18 weeks..

 18 weeks pregnant..I'm finally feeling more like a women having a baby and less like a girl with the flu. I feel so lucky being able to work from home, hats off to you ladies making your way into the office everyday! Morning sickness can be some tough stuff!  After a rough run I'm finally feeling less sick and getting more excited about my baby bump! (seems to be growing by the minute) 

In other pregnancy news we decided to find out the sex of our baby! Well I had originally wanted to know, but my hubby to be was stern about keeping it a surprise. On mothers day he lovingly agreed to find out at our next ultra sound... I'm so excited my guess is a girl! 

A boy would be equally as awesome, either way soon I will be baby planning up a storm!

Maybe it's because I've been searching for my wedding dress or maybe it's my wish for hot weather either way I've really been digging white dresses lately. Sadly, they don't love me back.. chances are one of these lovelies would get stained five minutes after putting it on.  So for the less clumsy out there here are a few pretty Etsy finds that could work for us with baby bumps.

Trying to find a venue has proved to be a little exhausting, after spending many hours searching online I've found a few potential places.  The tricky part will be finding the time to view them as many of the locations are 2 -3 hours away.  If I could have it my way I would find a place that incorporates the following... 

a ceremony by water 

 under the stars

with a party in a barn

with a cozy fire

my friends playing music

staying in little cottage

and outdoor twinkle lights

The venue hunt will make for some fun road trips, wish us luck!
