International Women's day

To celebrate International Women's day I wanted to post about a certain lady who always inspires me.
My sister gives me so much inspiration on a daily basis, she inspires me to be a good, kind person who looks at the positive even when you just want to give up. Without her encouragement and constant support I would not be the person I am today.
She is also one styling momma who is full of creativity and just the best mom!

Happy Birthday Twin!

Our Birthday landed on Thanksgiving this year, we are now full of turkey and Birthday cake.  We had a wonderful weekend with family and friends. (more pictures to come)  I gave this headband with detachable bows to my sister for her Birthday gift, one of the first projects I finished, but she seemed to like it.
Next up many, many scarfs. :)

the working world and a wondering mind

As I work at my day job my mind drifts to thoughts of the weekend...

My friend  since grade two is moving to Manitoba soon, we decided to have a girls day since it may be the last for awhile. It's a little strange to see the people close to you move away, there was a time I assumed everyone would be around forever. This is life, everyone goes on their own adventures... I just wish the best for them and hope they think of me sometimes!

So off we went for a lunch date and 5cent carousel ride, fun!

Fuzzy lovelies
I would like a carousel in my backyard.
My ride.
Happy twin.
I think she is singing?
I'm getting dizzy.

Good things come to those who wait.

I never been a huge wedding fanatic, but learned this weekend how magical they can really be.
After my sister waited patiently for seven years she tied the knot with the man of her dreams.

I was lucky enough to be the maid of honor and watched over the last two years while she put so much energy into planning her big day. It was wonderful and made me feel very lucky to be a part of it.

Days like that make you appreciate the people in our lives.. my sister, my new official brother in law, family, friends and of course the love of my life.
It’s life lessons that make me truly believe that good things happen to those who wait. Never to force love it will happen when it happens. Thankfully I found my dream boat.

The day started off gloomy with threats of rain and thunderstorms at times Lisa thought the ceremony would need to be moved inside. As soon as we headed to the car the sun came out and everything fell into place.
I think I was more nervous than the bride who seemed pretty cool and calm. Lisa walked down the aisle looking like a classic movie star making her husband teary eyed.

It was everything they could of hoped for the reception was wonderful, somehow I managed to make it through my speech! It was amazing times!

Dancing up a storm!

Lisa's getting hitched!

This weekend!! I'm excited can you tell!?

So I promise.. I will try not to mess up on my maid of honor speech and I will try my best not to cry too much at the ceremony.
Fingers crossed for good Canadian weather!

In other news we moved into our lovely new apartment.
A few pictures from a BBQ we had a week or so back.

My wonderfully talented boyfriend made the shelves.

Between all the craziness going on it's nice to relax with some good friends in our new place.
