See you later February!

We booked our first tropical vacation! In a little over a week we will be headed to Cuba. My guy and I have been battling the winter blah's, I thought the best thing to do is escape this freezing country if only for a week. I will try to speak Spanish and fail, I will probably come back a red Karen lobster, but who cares I will be lounging by the beach...
    and not you Toronto beach!
Now to google the chance of jelly fish encounters (the bees of the sea) they freak me out.
Rummage through my summer clothes
Purchase a waterproof camera
Find more vintage inspired swimwear
Excited!!

My sister visits!

I've been slacking with the blog lately, but not by choice. My laptop's battery and charger is toast so I'm weighing out the options of replacements or new laptop all together? (I'm dreaming of you Mac)

Anywho, this past weekend my sister came up for a visit. It was so nice to spend some quality girl time!
We went thrift shopping, complained about the inflation of Value Village's prices, worked on crafts, learned my sister is a much better wii bowler than myself... now to convince her to move back to Toronto.

We went to the Big Apple!

Literally!
Okay so I'm kind of a dork for ridiculous tourist attractions, many times we drove by this place on road-trips, however, we never took the time to stop.  After a crazy couple of weeks of working and holiday functions we decided to take a day off and go for a drive to the cheesiest place we could think of.
The Big apple is 35 feet high, the attraction has a mini put (sadly closed) an observation deck (also closed) and a gift shop (you betcha it was closed!) Okay, next time we will go in the summer. We did purchase some apple bread..yum!

We took the long way home and did some major small town thrift store shopping (they have the best stuff),
 it was great day.
If you know of any cheesy tourist attractions let me know! ♡

Our Holidays...

Our Christmas was wonderful, we drove to our home town Christmas eve to celebrate at my Aunts house, afterwards we meet up with some friends for drinks (a tradition my boyfriend has been doing for a few years) It's great to be able to meet up with friends during the holidays as it gives a little break from all the family craziness. Not that I don't love seeing my family but four houses in two days can been a little overwhelming.
Some picture of the extravaganza...

It's my nephew's second Christmas, he is big enough now to help unwrap his gifts, boy did he get a lot of stuff! His grandmother got him a bubble lawnmower he thought was a chair, he spent a good while trying to sit on it.. so cute.

I was one lucky girl I got the camera I've been drooling over for the last while from my fabulous boyfriend! Now I can finally start taking some photos for our shop (my sister was taking them before) So excited!
Hope you had a great Holidays too! xoxo

Holiday Cheer

Oh holiday parties I love you,
We put together a little potluck on Saturday, some friends that thankfully can cook much better than I showed  up for some holiday cheer.
I was worried we wouldn't have enough food, but like every party we had more than we knew what to do with. Sadly, I didn't get any food pics, but it was yummy none the less.

Our little shindig..

Twintage

I dream a little dream,
often while working my mind wonders.. mostly because 90% of the time I hate my job.
It wonders to a magical place where I no longer work for a corporation but instead my own little store with my twin sister. Here I can do something I love instead of working somewhere for the pay.
For now our dream is just starting out, our little Etsy shop is only in the beginning stages.
Next year I will be dedicating my time to everything "Twintage" with hopes that one day our dream will become a reality.

So for now check out our little online shop and watch it grow to something bigger ♡!
