International Women's day

To celebrate International Women's day I wanted to post about a certain lady who always inspires me.
My sister gives me so much inspiration on a daily basis, she inspires me to be a good, kind person who looks at the positive even when you just want to give up. Without her encouragement and constant support I would not be the person I am today.
She is also one styling momma who is full of creativity and just the best mom!

but for now I will have to stay grounded, so many exciting adventures headed my way. 

The trip!

A few pictures of our trip to Cuba! 

We flew out early Sunday morning with no sleep what so ever, I nervously boarded the plan as flying makes me anxious.  My guy on the other hand is in a plane almost once a week so he distracted me with a game of Monopoly on my iphone.. I won!

We spent the day on a catamaran, went snorkeling in the middle of the ocean, got to stroll along an uninhabited island, had lobster lunch and hung out with dolphins.  Is there any better way to spend a day?

The best part, my engagement! I guess I should have seen it coming, but I had no idea at all! He suggested to go for a stroll along the beach after dinner, since we hadn't checked out the beach at night I thought nothing of it. We grabbed a bottle of wine and took a lovely walk down to the shore. Once we arrived at the beach we were surprised to be the only people there, he started talking about how happy he was in our relationship and how we are in a great place in our lives.. I agreed. Next thing I knew he was down on one knee, it took me a second to actually realize what was happening. He pulled out a ring from his pocket and asked me to marry him. I feel like I must of said yes a million time, but half of it could of just been in my mind. I started to cry happy tears, then we spent a hour hanging out on the sand, talking and watching the waves. 

It was perfect.

Just the best week ever.

Well I'm back from Cuba and have oh so many pictures and fun times to share with you.
Since getting back into the swing of things has taken a little bit longer than I was excepting, I shall share my favorite item I brought home with me. (well other than my guy)

Alright winter, can we please part ways..

You were fun for awhile, you allowed me to go skating and I did enjoy watching the snow fall.. but when I walk to the store and my legs become legicles by the time I get back, well.. then we have a problem.
Luckily for me, in less than a week I will be in a warmer place, so you have until I return to pack up your things and move over for my new love.. early spring.

time flies..

It's absolutely crazy how fast time goes, one minute we are in the midst of the Holidays, visiting as many family members as you can, the next I realize it's been a month since we've seen the people we love.
It was time to head back to my home town and have a little family time.

During my visit back a certain baby showed off his apparent musical talents.
My nephew can jam, like father like son. Maybe the  next Partridge family?
Of course they would have to let me drive around on the bus.

 Hopefully I will see them again soon! xo

Go sports team..

My friend loves football, so for one night I liked it too. 

To be honest it was my first ever Super bowl party, we came for the game but stayed for the wonderful food. She even baked a Steelers cake, but sadly was too disappointed to eat it. By the end of the night the conversation switched from sports to girl chat. (a topic I'm much better at) I can't say that this will convert me into a football fan or even a sports fan, but I could handle watching a game once a year.
